Bokhara Carpets : The Bokhara carpets are woven in Belutchistan and in different regions of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Turkmen carpets include Basjir, Salor, Tekke-Bochara, Jolam-Bocharaband, Ersari, Tjaudor and Yomut which are examples of the carpet style called Bokhara. Some areas of Turkmenistan where carpets are woven are Ashkabad, Bakharden, Geok-Tepe, Kizyl-Arvat and Merv. The deep red and the whole range of red from purple to brown are the dominant colors with repeating octagons, rhombi, yomut motifs being characteristic of these carpets. The warp of the carpets is always wool.

Turkaman Carpets : The Turkaman carpets are being woven in several regions of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, eastern Turkestan, Afghanistan and Belutschistan. Basjir, Salor, Τekke-Bochara, Jolam-Bocharaband, Ersar, Tjaudor and Yomut carpets, which are characteristic examples of the Bokhara techniques, belong to the category of the Turkaman carpets. Some of the regions in Turkmenistan, where carpets are being woven, are Ashkabad, Bakharden, Gueok-Tepe, Kizyl-Arvat and Merv. Deep red and different tones of red, even purple or brown are their principal colors. Their main carpets designs include repeated octagonal, rhombi, the motifs gul and yomut. Their warp is woolen.

Nomadic carpets: Carpets woven by nomads. Nomads move continuously and do not stay permanently in one geographic region. They manufacture (weave) handmade carpets on collapsible looms. Due to that fact there may be slight variations in weaving and their carpets are sometimes uneven in shape. Also the weaving is made from memory and it depends on each artisans momentary inspiration. As a result, the designs in some carpets are not even on the entire surface.

All CarpetU2 carpets are subject to cleaning with high quality antibacterial and moth protection products according to Persian law.

Abrash: Due to the different amount of grease in the wool and the added salt during the process of dyeing, the wool has got a varying colour absorbance. This is not very visible before weaving. During the weaving though, lines of the same colour are formed in the carpet. This is called Abrash (which in Farsi means little cloud) and it shows that the wool was not manufactured using chemical means and marks the naturalness and authenticity of the carpets. Examples
